Albanien: Politisches System

Albanien ist eine parlamentarische Republik mit einem Einkammerparlament. Staatsoberhaupt ist der Präsident, der alle fünf Jahre vom Parlament gewählt wird.

Das Parlament hat 55 Mitglieder, die direkt gewählt werden. Einige von ihnen kommen auch durch Proportionalwahlen ins Parlament. Die Wahlen für das Parlament finden alle vier Jahre statt.

Der Präsident ernennt den Ministerrat, welcher das höchste exekutive Organ ist. Dieser Ministerrat wird vom Parlament anschließend bestätigt. Aus ihm wird der Ministerpräsident gewählt, welcher der Vorsitzende des Ministerrats und damit der Regierungschef ist.

Nationalhymne

Die Nationalhymne von Albanien wurde von Alxsander Stavre Drenova geschrieben und im Jahr 1880 von Ciprian Porumbescu vertont. Sie wurde im Jahr 1912 die offizielle Hymne des Landes.

Nationalflagge

Auf Albanisch lautet der Name des Landes: "Land des Adlers". Daher gehört zum Staatswappen der Adler, der auch für die Nationalflagge übernommen wurde. Die rote Farbe der Flagge steht für das vergossene Blut in den Unabhängigkeitskämpfen.
